In Himachal Pradesh, domestic workers women (working in other homes/meds) will also be entitled to a monthly pension of Rs 1500. These women ‘Indira Gandhi Bahna Bahna Sukh Award at a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu

Women who have completed at least 100 days as domestic assistants and their daughters of 21 years or more will now be eligible for Rs 1500 under this scheme. Hundreds of women of the state will benefit from this decision.

Till now, most of the women of the Tribal region in the state were getting this honor amount. After this decision of the cabinet, working women will also get this amount in people’s homes as meds across the state.

Prisoners release conditioned

The cabinet approved the release of the conditional to prisoners in Himachal jails. The state government had proposals to release good -behaved prisoners in jails.

The cabinet made a condition that in future also it should be kept in mind that if the behavior of the prisoners is not good after the release of jail and it is involved in illegal activities, its release should be canceled.

Home stay operators discount

The Cabinet decided to exempt certain conditions in the Home Stay Policy on the recommendation of the Cabinet Sub Committee. The cabinet has made the Home Stay Unit in Himachal Silver, Gold and Diamond categories. The condition of GST will not be applicable on home stays with less than 1000 rupees.

GST number will have to be taken in home stays with silver and gold categories. The specification of home stay rooms was also fixed in the revised policy. The cabinet has exempted the old -built home stay rooms. But in the new home stay, the specification of rooms has to be taken care of.

In Pangi sub-division of Chamba district, it was decided to fix 50 percent of the registration fee standard for home-stay.

Division of Water Power Department will open in Sujanpur

The cabinet approved the opening of the division of the Water Power Department at Hamirpur Sujanpur. Necessary posts were also created for this.

118 posts created in Hamirpur Medical College

The cabinet approved the creation and filling of 118 posts in various categories to ensure the establishment of nephrology, neurology and gastroenterology departments at Hamirpur Medical College as well as their smooth operation.

It was decided to fill 43 posts of various technical vacancies under various agricultural science centers of the state.

Purchase price of maize and wheat increased

The cabinet has increased the purchase price of maize prepared by natural method from Rs 30 to Rs 40, wheat price from 40 to 60 rupees and turmeric rate of Rs 90. After the approval of the cabinet, now farmers will be procured for maize, wheat and turmeric at these rates.

60 rupees per kg MSP was also approved for barley from Pangi block in Chamba district.

Cabinet 422 bus route approved

The cabinet approved 422 bus routes across the state. On these routes, the unemployed will be given bus routes on priority basis.

Cabinet decided not to increase water charges in Municipal Corporation Solan and Palampur. In these two MCs, water rates will be charged at the rate of Rs 29 kg.

The cabinet decided not to tax the people of the merge area in urban municipal bodies. Water rates will also be recovered from the people of the merge area.

Approves to merge SOA in ITI

The cabinet approved the merger of 7 State of Arts (SOAs) ITIs across the state and 7 women ITIs in ITI. SOA Government ITI Ghumarwin’s official ITI Ghumarwin merged with SOA government.
