Rohit-Virat out of ICC ODI rankings, this Indian batsman lonely in Top-5

The fresh ODI player rankings released by the ICC on Wednesday have surprised everyone. In fact, India’s legendary batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who were involved in the top-5 last week, were now removed from the list of batsmen. Indian ODI team captain Rohit was second with 756 rating points. Virat was at number four with 736 points.

However, both of them were not seen in the top-5 of the batsmen for some time in the latest rankings. This happened due to technical disturbances. Let me tell you, Rohit and Virat played the last ODI in March 2025, which was the final of the Champions Trophy.

Rohit and Virat have retired from Test and T20 International cricket. Both will now be seen playing only ODI cricket. Cricket fans erupted after Rohit and Virat’s name was removed from the ranking. At the same time, after the displeasure of the fans, the ICC corrected the rankings disturbances. Now the names of both the batsmen are seen in the list, Rohit is second and Virat remains in fourth place.

Shubman Gill is the number-1 ODI batsman. He has 784 renting points in his account. Pakistan batsman Babar Azam is at number three with 730 points. At the same time, South Africa’s spinner Keshav Maharaj has again become the number-1 ODI bowler with 687 points.
