Indian men’s ODI cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, after retiring from Test and T20 international matches, is spending time with his family in Mumbai these days. In the last year and a half, the 38 -year -old right -handed batsman, who won India two ICC titles in the last year and a half, was recently seen taking the blessings of Lord Ganesha during Ganpati Puja in Mumbai. A video of the Ganpati festival in Mumbai is going viral on the Internet, in which Rohit is seen requesting fans not to raise the slogan of “Mumbai Cha Raja Rohit Sharma” with folded hands.

Rohit’s fans raise the slogan “Mumbai Cha Raja Rohit Sharma” to celebrate his legacy and stardom, but in the latest clip, Rohit can be seen asking him not to do so. Rohit, who has more than 11,000 runs in ODI cricket, was last seen in action for Team India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final, which was played against the Kiwi team in Dubai on 9 March 2025. In that match, Rohit scored the top for Men in Blue and helped him win the Champions Trophy title for the third time in 27 years.

Rohit also received the Player of the Match award for his 76 -run innings in the Champions Trophy 2025 final. Rohit will next be seen playing for India in a three -match ODI series against the Australian team. Team India will visit Australia to play the three -match ODI and five -match T20 series next month. The ODI series will start from October 19 at the Optus Stadium in Perth and the next two 50 -over matches will be played in Adelaide (23 October) and Sydney (25 October).
