Accused caught in police custody

In Ludhiana, Punjab, the police have busted the gang that committed robbery and snatching incidents. The police have arrested three accused.

ADCP Sameer Verma said that the police station Salem Tabri police had received information that some people were going to sell stolen bikes. Acting on this information, the police arrested two accused from Kadia GT Road.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sumit and Jaswinder Singh alias Jassi of Habowal Kalan. A bike, two scooties, four mobile phones and an e-rickshaw have been recovered from them.

The police have achieved two days remand by presenting the accused in court. During the remand, the police will gather information about other members of the gang.

In a separate case, the police have arrested Paras, a resident of Lahuri Gate in Amritsar. 10 stolen mobile phones have been recovered from him. The police has sent the accused to jail.
