Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant was fined Rs 30 lakh for a slow over speed during the match played here against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday. Other players involved in the playing XI, including the Impact Player, were fined Rs 12 lakh.
The IPL media release said, “This was the third offense of his team under the IPL code of conduct related to slow over speed, so Rishabh Pant was fined Rs 30 lakh.”
According to the release, “each of the other players involved in the playing XI including the Impact Player has been fined Rs 12 lakh or 50 percent of their match fees (whichever is less).” Despite Pant’s brilliant innings of 118 not out of 61 balls, hosts Lucknow lost six wickets in the match despite a brilliant innings of 118 not out.
