Two slabs instead of three slabs

Under the new tariff, two slabs have been replaced by three slabs for domestic and commercial consumers. This will make it easier to make bills and consumers will not have any additional burden. Domestic consumers with more than 300 units will get relief. There will be Rs 160 per month on load up to 2 kW, Rs 90 per month at 2 to 7 kW and Rs 32 per month on load from 7 to 20 kW.

Monthly bill will be reduced by Rs 110

There is also a provision of relief for commercial consumers. Consumers with load up to 20 kW will get a discount of 2 paise per unit on consumption of up to 500 units. This will reduce their monthly bill by about Rs 110. The Electricity Minister informed that the domestic as well as the Industrial Tariff Policy has also been implemented. No additional fees have been increased.

New category also presented

The Electricity Minister said that in the domestic category, residential colonies/multi -storey residential complexes and cooperative group Housing Society/Employer under single point supply for employers, stable and variable expenses reduced under single point supply (currently Rs 140 kWh per hour, stable expenditure at Rs 130 kural per hour and changing expenses with 6.96 rupees per hour with 6.96 rupees per hour) with 6.96 rupees per hour) A new category has been presented.

Government committed to consumers’ good
