Star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has decided to leave Chennai Super Kings. He has told the franchise his wish. Ashwin returned to Chennai Super Kings after 9 years in the 2025 IPL itself. The franchise bought him in the mega auction for Rs 9.75 crore.
Ashwin started his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings. He was a part of CSK from 2010 to 2015. From 2016 to 2024, he played with different teams like Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. In 2025, he was seen playing for Chennai Super Kings after 9 years.
According to Cricbuzz report, Ashwin has decided to separate from CSK. He has told the franchise about his decision. However, no information has been revealed about what is the reason for his decision.
Ashwin is not only going to leave CSK, but is also going to leave the post of Director of Operations of CSK Academy. He got this responsibility only last year.
According to the report, Ashwin does not want if he connects with any other franchise, his association with the CSK Academy causes a conflict of interest. Therefore, he will break ties with CSK as well as his academy.
