Uproar over creating documentary with porn star
As we have already told you that Ramu is known for his experimental work. In the episode of this experiment, he created a short monologue documentary named ‘God Sex and Truth’ in the year 2018. In this, he cast American porn star Mia Malkova. The film was above female sexuality and beauty strength. Its music was given by Oscar Winning Musician MM Kerawani.

Ramu brought a movie ‘Veerappan’ in 2016. His magic did not run again and the film was beaten at the box office. The news agency Reuters film journalist Shilpa Jamkhandikar, while giving a review, described ‘Veerappan’ as inferior.
Ramu was so furious with this review that he tweeted a sexist comment on Shilpa. In his tweet, he wrote, ‘According to your review, Veerappan film is as beautiful as your face.’ When people started launching the director for this tweet, then he apologized to Shilpa by making another tweet.
Ramu has also posted objectionable for President Draupadi Murmu.
Sunny Leone targeted on Women’s Day
In the year 2017, on Women’s Day, Ramu wrote such objectionable about actress Sunny Leone that a case was filed in Goa. He was booked under Section 292 of IPC and cyber law. Wishing on the first Women’s Day, he wrote, ‘Male Day is not celebrated because all the days of the year are related to men and why do women it only one day?’
But Ramu, forced by his habit, did not stop at this. He tweeted many. In a tweet of the last, while commenting on actress Sunny Leone, she wrote, “I hope that all women of the world are able to give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone.”
When there was a ruckus, the matter reached the political corridors. The Congress had demanded the then Maharashtra government and the State Women’s Commission to register an FIR on the director.
Accused of spoiling Gabbar’s character
Ram Gopal Varma made a remake of the classic film Sholay. The film is named ‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’. The film not only beaten up badly at the box office but also had a legal dispute about it. Sholay’s producer Sippy family sued him accusing him of copyright violations.
The Delhi High Court said in its judgment that the parts of the original film in the film were spoiled. Ramu was ordered to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the Sippy family. ‘Aag’ proved to be a disaster for Ramu’s career. Since then, his downfall started, due to which he has not been able to recover till now.
Have been convicted in check bounce
In January this year, the Mumbai court sentenced director Ramu to 3 months jail and fined Rs 3 lakh 72 thousand. In fact, in 2018, Ram Gopal Varma’s firm paid Rs 2.38 lakh to a company named ‘Sri’ through a check. This check bounced.
The company then filed a case against Ram Gopal through Maheshchandra Mishra. In this case, in 2022, Verma got bail on a private bond of Rs 5000. Nearly 7 years later, the court ruled in this case on 21 January.
