Rameshwar Doody Ji dies irreparable damage to Congress: Kharge

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday expressed grief over the death of senior leader of the party’s Rajasthan unit Rameshwar Doody and said that this is an irreparable loss for the party.

Former party president Rahul Gandhi also expressed grief over Doody’s death and said that his struggle for the rights of farmers and the underprivileged will always be remembered. Rameshwar Doody, who was the Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, died on Saturday at the age of 62 after a long illness.

Doody was in coma for more than two years, after ‘stroke’ in August 2023. Kharge posted on X, the news of the death of senior Congress leader, former leader of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and former MP Rameshwar Doody is extremely sad. This is an irreparable loss for the Congress party. He said that Doody was a leader associated with the land and dedicated his entire life to the welfare of the farmers and the people.

Kharge said, in this hour of sorrow, my family and supporters are deeply condensed. Rahul Gandhi posted on X, he was deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of former Leader of Opposition and former MP Rameshwar Doody ji.

While in various positions, he always gave priority to public service and remained directly associated with the public. Their struggle for the rights of farmers and underprivileged will always be remembered. He said, in this difficult time I express deep condolences to his family and supporters.
