Ram Rahim got 40 days parole, punishment for 20 years in case of rape of two disciples

The Haryana government on Tuesday released the Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) Sirsa’s head, Gurmeet Ram Rahim convicted in rape and murder cases on 40 days parole. He will return to the jail barrack on 14 September. Along with this, he must have been out of jail for 91 days in the last four months from 1 January to 14 September. Sources gave this information on Tuesday. Sources said that Singh (57) will stay in his camp in Sirsa during a period of 40 days from Tuesday. Earlier, Singh came out of Sunaria Jail in Rohtak, Haryana after receiving a 21 -day ‘Farlo’ in April.

In January, Singh was given a 30 -day parole before the Delhi assembly elections to be held on February 5. He was also given 20 days parole on October 1 before the Haryana Assembly elections on October 5 last year. Singh was convicted in the case of raping two of his disciples in 2017. The Punjab and Haryana High Court acquitted the Dera chief and four other accused in the case of the murder of Ranjit Singh, former Dera manager in 2002, citing “Dhulamul” investigation in May last year.

Earlier, a special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sentenced Singh to life imprisonment in a nearly 20 -year -old murder case. He was found guilty of creating a criminal conspiracy with co-accused. In Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and other states, there are a large number of followers of Dera Sacha Sauda. There are large number of dera followers in several districts including Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Hisar in Haryana. Its headquarters is also in Sirsa.
