Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is in his parliamentary constituency Lakhlau today. Rajnath Singh has given a big statement there. Earlier, Rajnath Singh on Friday announced that India’s defense exports have touched a record Rs 25,000 crore, a huge jump from Rs 1,000 crore a few years ago.

Rajnath Singh said the government has now set an ambitious target of achieving Rs 3 lakh crore in domestic defense manufacturing and Rs 50,000 crore in defense exports by 2029. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday lauded Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for its growing contribution to India’s defense self-reliance as he participated in the maiden flight of Tejas Mk 1A and inaugurated new aircraft production lines at HAL’s Nashik campus. Addressing the gathering, the Defense Minister said that this was his first visit to his plant at Nashik and praised the enthusiasm of the people working there. He said, “This is my first time to visit HAL’s Nashik campus and I can see the excitement and pride on the faces of everyone working here. I extend my best wishes to the pilots flying the LCA MK1A and SU-30 aircraft.”

Singh inaugurated HAL’s third production line for Tejas MK1A and second production line for HTT-40 aircraft. Singh further said, “Today is the inauguration of HAL’s third production line for MK1A and second production line for HTT-40 aircraft. Congratulations to everyone on this occasion. The land of Nashik is historical – Lord Shiva resides here in the form of Trimbakeshwar. This land is not only of faith and devotion, but has now become a symbol of self-reliance. HAL here symbolizes the defense power of the nation.” He further said, “Today when I saw the flights of SU-30, Mk1A and HTT-40, my chest swelled with pride. This is a true example of self-reliance.”
