Amid concerns over the behavior of minority communities in India’s neighboring countries, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh criticized the opposition parties for opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Rajnath Singh accused the opposition of adopting double standards and said that he strongly opposed the CAA while continuously shed tears of crocodiles for minorities. Singh said that in view of the atrocities on minority communities in neighboring countries, our government passed the CAA, which was most opposed by political parties who shed tears of crocodiles day and night for minorities.

Rajnath Singh said that BJP is the only party in the world that amended the Citizenship Act to protect minorities from neighboring countries. This is called true secularism. I want to ask those claiming to be an advocate of secularism, when the word ‘secular’ was added to the Constitution in 1975, why was it not added to the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir? Shouldn’t Jammu and Kashmir have been secular? When we removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, it became secular in the true sense.
