His double role is highly praised in Amitabh Bachchan’s film Suryavansham. People still like his played characters. Meanwhile, Rajesh Khattar shared an anecdote related to this film. He said that this film was very special for him because one because Amitabh Bachchan did his comeback from this film, and the other because he got a chance to play his brother’s role in it.
Talking to Friday Talkies, Rajesh Khattar said, ‘When the makers approached me and said that I want to play the role of both Bachchan Saheb’s brother and son, they asked me to watch the original film. But I refused. I did not want to miss the opportunity to work with Bachchan Saheb, because I did not want to doubt my decision.

Rajesh further said, ‘Suryavansham came when Amitabh Bachchan was making a comeback in films after a break. He left the industry. This was his comeback film. When he returned to films (Amitabh Bachchan), I rolled thinking what would happen if he decided to quit acting again? So I did not want to miss a chance to work with him at any cost.
Rajesh said that he was not introduced to Amitabh Bachchan on the first day. He was just preparing the scene in which he was shouted to the role of Big B. Rajesh was nervous, but he did it after two tech. Rajesh remembered that he was introduced well with Amitabh Bachchan. The actor told that after remembering all this, his hair stands up.

Let me tell you, the year 1999 was difficult for Amitabh Bachchan, because his company ABCL was bankrupt. He was drowned in debt. He could not recover from that burden. He had done only four films from 1994 to 1999, including ‘Mrityudata’, ‘Major Saab’, ‘Bade Mian Chhoti Mian’ and ‘Lal Badshah’. However, then he made a comeback with ‘Suryavansham’.
