A government teacher in Barmer district of Rajasthan has been detained on charges of killing a woman. Police said on Monday that the woman came to meet the accused teacher after traveling about 600 km from Jhunjhunu.
Superintendent of Police Narendra Kumar Meena said that the accused is Manaram (38) of Chawa village of Sadar police station area. He allegedly killed Mukesh Kumari (37) at his house with a head and then placed the corpse on the driver seat of his own car to give it the form of an accident.
Meena said, “The body of the woman was found in a car parked in Shiv Nagar of Rico police station area. Initial investigation shows that the accused murdered him at his house and later put the body in the car.
Meena said that the teacher and the woman came in contact with each other through Facebook in October 2024 and had become friends since then. The woman used to come to meet her often and stayed at her house on 10 September. He said, “The motive behind the murder is not yet known. The case is being investigated.
