According to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur tehsil recorded the highest 254 mm (mm) rainfall during the last twenty four hours till Friday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, many houses were submerged in the area across the parali due to continuous rains in Sawai Madhopur.
Officials said that traffic on National Highway-552 was completely disrupted due to a collapse of a culvert due to heavy rains. He said that due to 170 mm of rain in Bijolia, Bhilwara, the water level at Panchanpura dam reached above the warning mark and the local river is also in spate.

Officials said three gates of Kota Barrage were opened in Kota to release 25,000 cusecs of water on Friday morning. He said that several lower settlements of Kapren town of Bundi were submerged and due to rising water level, contact with rural areas was lost.
Officials said that due to continuous rains, a young man drowned in the water of the dam in Ajmer. In Chaksu area of Jaipur, the motorcycle riding husband and wife got swept away in the river.
Police said the local people rescued the husband but the wife was swept away in a strong stream of water. The Meteorological Center has released ‘Orange Alert’ of heavy rains in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh districts.
