Rajasthan’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and Ganganagar district police, in a joint operation, have seized 1.492 kg of heroin smuggled from Pakistan and arrested two accused in this connection.
Inspector General (ATS) Vikas Kumar said that the value of the seized heroin in the international market was estimated to be around Rs 7.50 crore. Kesrisinghpur police station in-charge Balwant Ram and his team arrested two suspicious youths, Punjab residents Karanjot Singh (19) and Prabhdeep Singh (19) with drugs near the railway crossing on Mirjewala Road on Friday evening.
In this regard, a case has been registered in Kesrisinghpur police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Initial investigation revealed that this heroin was sent to two unknown persons near Kesrisinghpur bus stand and it was to be delivered to Tarn Taran in Punjab. The police is investigating the matter
