Railway Board Union meeting in Kapurthala: Demand for recruitment to vacant posts, said – RCF Halt should be made full station – Kapurthala News


An important meeting of RCF Employees Union was held at Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala with additional member of Railway Board Sanjay Kumar Pankaj. In the meeting, the union raised various demands of employees prominently.

The major demands of the union included creation of new posts, recruitment to vacant posts, availability of timely material for coach production, and supply of quality machinery. It was also proposed to purchase security goods from SPC instead of GEM.

In the interest of employees, the NPS was abolished and the restoration of the old pension scheme and a five -day work week in the administrative building. The demand for appointment of specialist doctors at Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital and the status of full station to RCF Halt Station was also prominently raised.

Amrik Singh, president of RCF Employees Union, stressed the need for prompt action on the demands. He also raised important issues such as HMIS system malfunction, return of night duty allowance and contract with multi -specialty hospitals.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, where additional members of the Railway Board assured the early resolution of all the issues. He also presented RCF a prize of Rs 1 lakh for a record 2102 coach production and appreciated the outstanding performance of the factory.
