A search operation is going on at various places by the Punjab Police to arrest the head of ‘Wars Punjab De’ Amripal Singh. It was said by the police that the raid is on to arrest the fugitive Amrital Singh. Since yesterday, 78 people have been arrested by the police in a major operation against the ‘Waris Punjab de’ organization. Giving more information in this regard yesterday evening, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that on Saturday afternoon, on Shahkot-Malsian road of Jalandhar district, the police stopped several activities of the activists of ‘Waris Punjab De’ (WPD). And 7 persons were arrested on the spot. He said that many others including Amritpal Singh are absconding, for whom raids are being conducted on a large scale.
Nine weapons, including one .315 bore rifle, seven 12 bore rifles, one revolver and 373 live cartridges of various calibers have been seized so far during this state-level operation.
