Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday declared himself as the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance during the rally of ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ held in Ara, Bihar. He accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of copying his policies, calling him ‘copycat chief minister’.
This announcement has created a stir in the political corridors. Reacting to this statement of Tejashwi, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said, ‘Congress party and Rahul Gandhi have no importance there (in Bihar) … At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav makes announcements without any advice. This shows what is their importance.

Real CM is needed, not duplicate
Tejashwi Yadav, while disclosing his election strategy, said that the BJP is ‘scared’ and ‘wants to implement his vision’. Addressing the crowd, he said that there is still a lot left, which he will disclose after the election notification is issued. Tejashwi also said, “Everyone in Bihar is saying that we want a real CM, not a duplicate CM.”
He said, “We took the blessings of Mata Janaki and we all want Bihar to develop.” To make his point more effective, he also gave a slogan, ‘Paddy roti in the tawa, the anti -flew in the air’.

The former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is only copying his policies and making announcements. Tejashwi said in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, amidst the vigorous cheering of the crowd, ‘Tejashwi is moving forward. The government is following them. After this he asked the public whether he wanted a ‘real chief minister’ or ‘duplicate Chief Minister’. He then declared himself the ‘real chief minister’ candidate of the alliance.
