According to available information, Ashwin said in his YouTube show “Ash Ki Baat” that there are wins and losses in sports and it is not fair to blame a coach completely. He stressed that the players, and not just the management, should understand their responsibilities. Ashwin said, “Gautam is not my relative, I can also list his mistakes. But mistakes happen and everyone can make them. We always have a tendency to blame someone, which is not right.”
It is noteworthy that Ashwin said that a lot is at stake in Indian cricket, but the coach cannot enter the game with the bat. Players will have to take responsibility for their own performance. He also believed that the team’s continuous defeats have necessitated fixing the responsibility, but it does not mean that only the coach should be targeted.
