Putin denied a ceasefire in Ukraine until the target is completed: Kremlin’s officer

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said during a phone conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump on Thursday that military operations against Ukraine would continue till all the targets are achieved. An official of the Kremlin gave this information.

Kremlin’s foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov informed reporters after an hour -long telephone talks between the two presidents, saying that Moscow will continue to find a diplomatic solution to the ongoing struggle, but would not ignore its root cause.

He said that Putin rejected Trump’s appeal of the ceasefire agreement as soon as possible to end the war that has been going on for almost four and a half years.

However, he expressed his desire to find solutions through political talks with Kiev. In return, President Trump appealed to the Russian President to end the war as soon as possible.

In his sixth telephone talks with Trump after assuming the presidency, Putin wished him on the eve of the US Independence Day and said that Russia also had a role in the American freedom struggle.

Ushakov said that the two leaders, among other issues, discussed the situation related to Iran as well as the developments of West Asia. He stated that Putin emphasized the importance of resolving all controversies, disagreements and conflicts only through political and diplomatic mediums.
