Famous Punjabi actor Jaswinder Bhalla died on Friday morning in a private hospital in Mohali. One of his family friends gave this information. Bhalla was 65 years old. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago when he was ill. Bhalla is known for his characters in Punjabi films like Carrie on Jatta, atmosphere, Jatt Airways and Jatt and Juliet 2.

Who was Jaswinder Bhalla?
Bhalla was one of the prestigious stars who brought comedy to new heights in Punjabi cinema. His comic timing, simplicity and funny dialogues impressed the audience of every generation and smiled on countless faces.
He is an experienced actor who played supporting roles in films. He began his career as a comedian in 1988 from “Chhankata 88” and made his acting debut in the Punjabi film “Dulla Hatti”. Since then, he has acted in many hit films like “Jatt and Juliet”, “Carrie on Jatta” Franchise, “Sardar Ji” Franchise and “Dee Oye Loco”. Last time, he was seen on the big screen with Gippy Grewal and Hina Khan in the film “Shinda Shinda No Papa” in 2024.

Punjabi world condoles Jaswinder Bhalla’s death
Soon after the news came, former captain of the Indian hockey team Pargat Singh mourned the death of this comedian on his X handle. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the death of famous Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla ji. His sharp intellect, evergreen character and his contribution to Punjabi cinema gave happiness to millions. A great damage to our culture and entertainment world.
Gurtej Singh Pannu wrote, “I am extremely saddened by the demise of Punjabi cinema veteran comedian Jaswinder Bhalla ji. He had a bridge between humor generations, his art was a precious gift for Punjabi cinema. A true ideal died very quickly. Heartly died. Heartbreaks towards his family and fans.”
A fan on X wrote, “RIP #Jaswinderbhalla ji. The Punjabi film industry will always remember the best and banging comedians ever. Dhillon Saheb with black coats will always be remembered.” Another wrote, “Punjabi cinema veteran Jaswinder Singh Bhalla is no longer among us. Not only Punjab but also one of the finest actors of India. His comedy and his punchline will always resonate in our ears and hearts. We will miss you a lot. Bhalla saheb. Om Shanti.”
