The Punjab Police said on Thursday that it arrested a person from Amritsar during a campaign carried out with central agencies on the basis of intelligence information, who is related to a British gangster.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the accused has been identified as Malkit Singh, a resident of Pandori village and a grenade with a pistol has also been recovered from him.
According to the police, the preliminary investigation has revealed that Malkit Singh has a direct connection with gangster Dharma Sandhu, a prohibited terrorist organization ‘Babbar Khalsa International’ activist Harvinder Rinda.
According to the police, Rinda lives in Pakistan and has the support of the intelligence agency – Inter -Services Intelligence (ISI) there. The DGP posted on ‘X’, “In a campaign carried out with central agencies on an intelligence information, Amritsar Rural Police arrested Malkit Singh, a resident of Pandori village and recovered a hand grenade, a .30 bore pistol (PACUS 5) and 10 Cartridges of .30 bore.
