According to the information received, there has been a demand to start a glass-roof heritage train on the old railway line from Nangal to Bhakra Dam. This track is full of natural beauty and can be developed from the point of view of tourism.

– Beautiful riverfront should be developed near River View Road, located on the banks of Nangal Lake. Tourism can be promoted by developing this area and local residents can be provided entertainment facilities.

– Bhakra-Nangal Dam Museum should be constructed early. The project has been pending for years and its completion will protect the historical heritage of the region.

– Transparent and modern lease policy should be implemented for Nangal. This is necessary to provide security to the residents who have been living for decades and ensure regular fare to BBMB.

– Nangal Dam decorations and lighting should be changed in night. This will increase the beauty of Nangal city and will become a major tourist destination.

– Cinemas, shopping complexes and recreational zones should be established. These facilities can be developed using vacant government land, which will give new life to Nangal.

Minister Bains said that Nangal, who was once one of the most beautiful and planned cities in the country, is a victim of neglect today. The purpose of these demands is to give Nangal a prior reputation and provide a better living standard to the local residents.
