India has achieved great success in the World Cadet Championship. Indian women’s wrestler Priya Malik has bagged a gold medal in the women’s 75 kg weight category at the championship being held in Hungary.
Priya won the gold medal in the World Cadet Championship by defeating the Belarusian wrestler 5-0.

In fact, Priya has won a gold medal at Play India in Pune in 2019, a gold medal at the 17th School Games in Delhi in 2019 and a gold medal at the National Cadet Championship in Patna in 2020.




It may be recalled that yesterday Mirbai Chanu had won a silver medal for the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and made history. After which now the success of Priya Malik has given the country a chance to be proud. There is a flurry of congratulations on Twitter on Priya’s success.
It may be mentioned that Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh has also congratulated Priya on her achievement. “Congratulations to Priya Malik, daughter of Haryana, on winning a gold medal at the World Cadet Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary,” he wrote.
