A Rajasthan court has sent Shakur Khan to police custody for seven days to investigate the case. Shakur Khan was arrested by the State Intelligence Department on Tuesday for spying for Pakistan’s ISI. According to officials, he is accused of collecting and sharing information with Pakistan’s ISI agents. The accused has been identified as Shakur Khan. He worked as an assistant administrative officer in Jaisalmer. He is accused of leaking strategic information to Pakistan’s intelligence agency.
According to officials, he was under surveillance for a long time due to suspicious activities. Special Public Prosecutor Sudesh Kumar Satwan said that Shakur Khan, who is a government employee, has been arrested on charges of anti -national activities. The court has approved 7 days police custody. After investigation, we will present it again in court. Some Pakistani phone numbers are being investigated. Inspector General of Police (CID Security) Vishnu Kant Gupta confirmed that Khan was under supervision for a long time. Gupta said that Shakur Khan’s activities were suspicious for a long time. Because of this, security agencies were keeping a strong monitoring on him. During the surveillance, it was found that Shakur Khan was in constant contact with some people working in the Pakistan Embassy, especially Ahsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish and Sohail waist. Significantly, the Government of India has already declared Danish as a ‘unwanted person’ and sent it back to Pakistan.
During interrogation at the Central Inquiry Center in Jaipur, Khan confessed that he had gone to Pakistan several times to get a visa with the help of Danish. While living in Pakistan, he allegedly met ISI agents. Officials revealed that on returning to India, he collected strategic information and sent it to Pakistani operators using platforms like WhatsApp. As an assistant administrative officer in Jaisalmer, Khan had access to sensitive documents, causing major concerns over internal security.
