Prime Minister Modi to visit Andhra Pradesh tomorrow; Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow (Thursday). According to the official announcement, he will offer prayers and have darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varala Devasthanam located in Nandyal district. After visiting the temple, Prime Minister Modi will also visit Sri Shivaji Spurti Kendra in Srisailam. The Prime Minister will then visit Kurnool, where he will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation several development projects worth about Rs 13,430 crore. It has been told in the release that on this occasion he will also address a public meeting.

It further mentioned that Prime Minister Shri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swami will perform puja and darshan at Varala Devasthanam, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and one of the 52 Shaktipeeths. The unique feature of this temple is the co-existence of a Jyotirlinga and a Shaktipeeth in the same temple complex, making it a unique temple of its kind in the entire country. Prime Minister will also visit Shri Shivaji Sphoorti Kendra, a memorial complex that includes a Dhyana Mandir (meditation hall) with models of the four iconic forts, Pratapgarh, Rajgarh, Raigarh and Shivneri, at its four corners. At its center is a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in deep meditation.

The center is run by the Sri Shivaji Memorial Committee, which was established in Srisailam in 1677 to commemorate the historic visit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to this holy pilgrimage site. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation several development projects costing approximately Rs 13,430 crore. These projects are spread across key sectors including industry, power transmission, roads, railways, defense manufacturing and petroleum and natural gas, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhance regional infrastructure, accelerate industrialization and drive inclusive socio-economic development in the state.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Transmission System Strengthening Project at Kurnool-III Pooling Station with an investment of over Rs 2,880 crore. The project involves construction of 765 KV double-circuit Kurnool-III Pooling Station-Chilakaluripeta transmission line, which will increase the conversion capacity by 6,000 MVA and enable large-scale transmission of renewable energy to support the country’s development.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and Kopparthy Industrial Area in Cuddapah, with a total investment of more than Rs 4,920 crore. Developed jointly by the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC), these modern, multi-sector industrial hubs are based on plug-and-play infrastructure and walk-to-work concept. These are expected to attract investment of approximately Rs 21,000 crore and create approximately one lakh jobs, thereby boosting industrial growth and global competitiveness in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.
