Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a two -day visit to Cyprus on Sunday, where he will hold talks with President Nicos Christodolidase to strengthen bilateral relations. Modi arrived here in the first phase of his journey to three countries, where he will also visit Canada and Croatia. This is an Indian Prime Minister’s first visit to Cyprus in more than two decades. In Cyprus’s capital Nicosia, the Prime Minister will hold talks with the President Christodolidase and will address the business leaders in Limasol. From Cyprus, he will go to Canada in Canada to attend the G7 Summit on the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. After the G7 Summit, Modi will visit Croatia and will hold a meeting with President Joran Milnoovic and Prime Minister Andrez Plankovic.
Modi said that his visit to three countries is also an opportunity to thank India to the partner countries for their strong support in the fight against cross -border terrorism and to inspire global understanding to deal with terrorism in all forms and expressions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the upcoming G-7 summit to be held in Canada would provide a platform for the exchange of views on important global issues and global South priorities. He left for three countries.
