Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India this year. Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov said that preparations are being made for the President’s visit. However, he did not say on which month or date this journey could be done.
Lavarov said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has traveled to Russia’s first foreign foreign visit to Russia after being elected Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. Now it’s our turn. President Vladimir Putin has accepted the invitation of the Indian government.
The Russian Foreign Minister made the statement ‘Russia and India: a new bilateral agenda during the summit’. The meeting was organized by the Council of Russian International Affairs (RIAC).
Putin came to India in 2021 for the last time
Earlier, Russian President Putin visited India on 06 December 2021. He came to India for only 4 hours. During this time, 28 agreements were signed between India and Russia. It had military and technical agreements. By 2025, the two countries had kept the target of $ 30 billion (2 lakh 53 thousand crore rupees) annual trade.

PM Modi visited Russia twice in 2024. He went to Russia on 22 October for the BRICS Summit. Earlier in July too, Modi visited a two -day Russia. Then he invited Putin to come to India.
