President of Hyderabad Cricket Association arrested, serious allegations in FIR

Telangana CID has claimed that Cricket Ball, Air Conditioner, Sports Apparel and Plumbing are accused of Hyderabad Cricket Association President A Jagan Mohan Rao. A Jagan Mohan Rao allegedly misused the money by collusion with the association’s treasurer CJ Srinivasa Rao and its CEO Sunil Kanty.
According to officials of the Telangana Crime Investigation Department, the alleged rigging was at least Rs 2.32 crore. According to the FIR lodged in the case, alleged rigging occurred in 6 cases, including allocation of catering services and procurement of electrical materials.
The CID case is based on the complaint lodged by Telangana Cricket Association General Secretary D Gurwa Reddy on 9 June 2025. According to the FIR, Jagan Mohan Rao, along with other members of the HCA’s top council, allegedly managed Rs 1.03 crore. Jagan Mohan Rao had claimed that the said amount is being spent on the purchase of cricket balls for BCCI’s domestic season 2024-25.
It is written in the FIR that the number of balls purchased for such a huge amount was only 1340. It is written in the FIR that in this purchase, Rao violated the tender process and did not keep the stock register. Similarly, Rs 11.85 lakh has been reported to be spent on the new air conditioner.
