Possibility of rain in 17 states of the country: 2 killed, 67 injured, 600 houses damaged due to hailstorm in Odisha

There is a possibility of rain on Sunday in 17 states of the country. This includes Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala and North East states.

In the last 24 hours, at least two people died due to rain, thunderstorms and lightning at different places in Odisha. 67 others were injured and more than 600 houses were damaged.

The Meteorological Department said that in the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of power and hailstorm falling at some places in Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh and Sundargarh districts with strong winds at a speed of 50-60 kmph.

During this period, heavy rains (7 to 11 cm) and electricity may occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.
