Famous producer Salim Akhtar, who has produced films like Phool Aur Angare, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Badal and Qayamat, has died on 8 April. Producers were ill for a long time. He breathed his last at the age of 82.

Producer Salim Akhtar was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai for a long time. When the condition was critical, he was placed on a ventilator. He had age related problems.

His funeral was taken out this afternoon. He has been buried in the cemetery located near the Ila Mosque in Mumbai. He is left behind by wife Shama Akhtar and son Samad Akhtar.

Many actresses like Rani Mukherjee and Tamannaah Bhatia gave a break

Let us tell you that Salim Akhtar gave Rani Mukherjee a break in Bollywood with the 1997 film Raja Ki Aayi Baraat. Apart from this, he introduced Tamannaah Bhatia with the 2005 film Chand Sa Roshan face.

Between the 80s and 90s, he has produced the best films like Qayamat, Phool and Angare, Aad. He made all these films under the banner of his production house Aftab Pictures.

Rani had failed in the first screentte, yet the producer gave a chance

Let us tell you that Salim Khan was a friend of Rani Mukherjee’s father. He was the one who advised Rani to appear in films. When Rani Mukherjee gave the screentest for the film Raja Ki Aayi Baraat at the behest of Salim Khan, she could not do anything special. Rani’s mother, seeing her screentest, told Producersur that my daughter does not take it in the film or else the film will be beaten. Despite this, the producer had signed the queen’s talent and signed her in the film.

Apart from Raja Ki Aaya Baraat, Rani Mukherjee has also worked in Salim Akhtar’s production film Badal. It had his co-star Bobby Deol.
