Actor and popular television anchor Rajesh Keshav, who had a heart attack at a Kochi hotel on August 24, has been removed from the ventilator support, according to an official statement issued by the hospital treating him. The 47 -year -old media person was admitted to the intensive medical unit (ICU) after a medical emergency, which took place shortly after attending a film program in the city.

According to the medical bulletin issued by Lakeshore Hospital, the board with multi-disciplinary team reviewed the progress of their treatment on Thursday. Bulletin states that they have been removed from ‘ventilator support’. Their blood pressure remains stable and has started breathing themselves. In the last 48 hours, he has also shown a minor, but continuous response to the stimuli that causes pain.

The statement further stated that ‘critical care’, heart disease, neurological disease, gastrointestinal disease, and ophthalmology experts are closely monitoring their condition. Keshav (47) was admitted to the intensive medical unit (ICU) of the hospital after a heart attack on 24 August. He fainted in a city hotel before being taken to the hospital. The actors are known for their remarkable roles in many Malayalam films and television serials.
