The police have arrested the accused Karamjit Singh alias Poti. He is a resident of village Gude. According to ASI Inderjit Singh of Thana Dakha, he received secret information on Madyani Road during patrolling. It was told in the information that the accused has cultivated opium on a large scale at the empty space of his house.
Police raid on information
The police immediately raided and recovered the poppy plants from the spot. During interrogation, it was found that the accused himself intoxicates the choice. He said that due to the strictness of the police, it was difficult to find the sedes. So he planted saplings on the empty space of the house, so that he does not need to buy stools.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. The accused was produced in the court, from where the police got two days remand. Further investigation is on.
