1. On the church of gay persons: The Pope was questioned on the issue of homosexuality from 4 months after assuming office. To this he said, “If a gay person is searching for God, then who is I going to judge him.”
2. On blessing the beans-sex couples: Pope Francis decided to allow gay couples to bless in 2023. Vatican said that this blessing would be “a symbol of mercy and love of God”, but it would not change the traditional marriage principles of the Catholic Church, which still recognizes the marriage between a man and a woman.
2. Reform to Dhampic Approval: The Pope decided to give more approval to the church to the divorced and re -marrying Catholic people. Pope Francis said that such people should not be separated from the church. Earlier, the Catholic Church used to deprive such people of sacred rites.
3. Apologies on sexual abuse of children: In April 2014, Pope Francis publicly apologized for the sexual abuse cases of children in the church. He admitted that some church priests sexually abused the children. The Pope said that this is a ‘serious sin’ and ’embarrassing crime’, for which the church will not only apologize, but will also take concrete steps to stop these crimes.
