Pope Francis died at the age of 88 in Vatican on Monday.
13 March 2013
The Pope’s election was going on in the Vatican. No candidate got two-thirds of votes in four-time voting. When the ballot opened for the fifth time, the Cardinal George Mario Bergoglio of Argentina was elected 266th Pope, which was not even considered a contender before the election.
This cardinal Pope became known as Francis. He is the first Pope who adopted the name Francis. He took this name in honor of the Saint Francis of Asi, who was known to serve the poor.
His chosen was also historic because for the first time in 1300 years an non-European was chosen as the Pope. Apart from this, the choice of a Jesuit Pastor was also a big thing in itself.
Today Pope Francis is no more. Pope Francis died on Monday morning at 7:35 minutes in Vatican. In this story, Pope will learn the story of the life of Pope Francis, how a Jesuit Pastor became Pope, what changes did they bring …

On 20 April, on the occasion of Easter, Pope Francis addressed the people from St. Peters Basilica Church in Vatican. He came to publicly publicly in front of people.
Jesuit Pastor was Pope Francis
Jesuit means Society of Jesus. St. Ignatius Loyola, studying at the University of Paris, along with his colleagues, pledged to establish the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Samaj) in 1534. In 1540, Pope Paul III approved the establishment of this society.
St. Ignatius Loyola formed a group of educated people. These people had only one objective- helping people help in search of God. St. Ignatius Loyola wanted the Jesuit pastor to become a missionary to spread the message of God. Where there is a possibility, people will do good. In 1540, there were 10 members in this organization, which has now increased to more than 15 thousand.

Why to become a pope of Jesuit Pastor, why?
Jesuit Pastor takes an oath that he would not wish to get a big position in the Roman Catholic Church and always obey the church.
In addition, Jesuits often confront the orthodox ideas of the church due to their progressive ideas. They work many times ahead of Catholic principles on issues like human rights and poverty, so their attitude is considered to be disrespect in front of the church. In some parts of the Catholic community, they face allegations of being excessively needed.
In such a situation, it was a big thing in itself to have the highest position of the Catholic Church of a Jesuit Pastor.
How to choose Cardinal George Mario Bergoglyo Pope?
On 28 February 2013, the 265th Pope Benedict XVI of the Catholic Church resigned, citing his age and health. The next pope was to be selected in March. The name of George Mario Bergoglio was also not in the Pope’s race till the voting week.
He was 76 years old and several cardinals said that they would not vote for a pastor over 70. Apart from this, Bergoglio was second in the 2005 Pope elections. In such a situation, there was very little possibility that he would be seen as a candidate.
But when voting started on March 12, Bergoglio got a lot of votes in the first time. With this, he started being seen as a candidate. In the fifth time voting, Bergoglia got two-thirds of votes and on 13 March he was elected as the Pope.

Cardinal George Mario Bergoglio addressed the people for the first time after being selected in the 2013 Paple Conclave.
Pope became Pope due to his simplicity, Bergoglia
Until before the Pope’s election, the Cardinal Angelo Scool of the Italian city of Milan was seen as a contender to become a pope. Many priests believed that they could bring major changes to the Pope’s office. And his being from Italy was pleasing to those priests who wanted the Pope to get to some European.
Bergogliyo continued to perform his duty with great peace this time. He did not try to grab people in any way. This gave a glimpse of his humility. The priests who voted for him liked this very much. Apart from this, Bergoglio was known for his renovation as a pastor. He was healthy despite being 76 years old, but after that there was no possibility of his candidate in the Pope’s election. All these things together became the reason for his Pope being elected.
When he was elected the Pope, French Cardinal Andre Wingt said that Bergoglio may not come from Italy, but his parents were from Italy, so they know the culture of Italy and can mix it. If there is a little possibility that the system of Vatican can be improved, then Bergoglio is the right person for it.

Pope Francis’s big decisions
1. On the church of gay persons: The Pope was questioned on the issue of homosexuality from 4 months after assuming office. To this he said, “If a gay person is searching for God, then who is I going to judge him.”
2. On blessing the beans-sex couples: Pope Francis decided to allow gay couples to bless in 2023. Vatican said that this blessing would be “a symbol of mercy and love of God”, but it would not change the traditional marriage principles of the Catholic Church, which still recognizes the marriage between a man and a woman.
2. Reform to Dhampic Approval: The Pope decided to give more approval to the church to the divorced and re -marrying Catholic people. Pope Francis said that such people should not be separated from the church. Earlier, the Catholic Church used to deprive such people of sacred rites.
3. Apologies on sexual abuse of children: In April 2014, Pope Francis publicly apologized for the sexual abuse cases of children in the church. He admitted that some church priests sexually abused the children. The Pope said that this is a ‘serious sin’ and ’embarrassing crime’, for which the church will not only apologize, but will also take concrete steps to stop these crimes.
