Poonam Dhillon recently shared an anecdote about Kamal Haasan. The actress said that once the set was late on the set, Kamal Haasan had scolded her a lot. Poonam said that she often worked with superstars who used to come late for hours. So no one had asked them to come on time.

Poonam Dhillon told in a conversation with Hindi Rush that he has worked in films like ‘Yeh To Kamal Ho Gaya’, ‘Memorial’ and ‘Arreast’ with Kamal. He said that after working in the South Industry, he learned discipline. The actress said, for the first time I was scolded on the set. Because I used to reach the set late.

Nobody used to say anything when he came 30-45 minutes late in Mumbai. People like my co-actor Rajesh Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha were. These people used to come whenever they wanted. So we had a habit of leaving 30-45 minutes late on the set. ‘

Discipline learned from South Industry- Poonam

Poonam further said that she was once shooting in Chennai. She was given time at 7 am and reached at 8 am. They thought she did not come late. But when she reached the set, Kamal Haasan took her to the side and scolded him.

Poonam said, ‘I reached there and I wished everyone good morning. Then Kamal Haasan came to me and said ‘Poonam, all of them are here from 7 am. They do not have a car, they have come from far away. All the lightmen, cameramans, so imagine at what time he must have left from his house. He must have woke up at 5 o’clock in the morning or even before and you have come at 8 o’clock. Everyone was just waiting for you for so long. This is not correct.’

Unit is also treated well in South Industry- Poonam

Poonam while talking on Discipline said that it was a warning for her. He noticed that technician is not valued as much as on the set. While the artist’s fingernails are given more attention.
