Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday accused the RSS and BJP of breaching peace in the state. He was reacting to the proposed visit of Maddur in Mandya district of the BJP delegation, where tension increased after the incident of stone pelting during the Ganpati procession. Siddaramaiah told reporters that the BJP’s intention and work is to disturb peace. Earlier, he organized the Chamundi Betta Chalo rally. Members of RSS and others from various places came to Mysore … they all gathered and worked to disturb the peace.

Siddaramaiah said that now there has been violence in Mandya’s Maddur … Even before the BJP said anything, we had arrested 21 people. Whether it is Muslim, Christian or someone else, we will take action according to the law. When asked about the complaint made by the BJP delegation Amit Shah by the BJP delegation about the law and order situation in Karnataka, the Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the state government to maintain law and order. Meanwhile, a heavy police force was deployed in the town of Karnataka on Tuesday morning after protests against the stone pelting incident on Monday evening. The markets are deserted due to not opening shops since last night after the prohibition is implemented. Meanwhile, the Hindu religious organizations of the area are holding a meeting on the issue. A total of 21 people have been arrested after the stone pelting incident and then the protests. Earlier on Monday, the police lathi-charged the protesters to disperse the mob.

Earlier on Monday, pro -Hindu organizations staged a protest against the alleged stone pelting incident during the Ganesh statue immersion in Maddur town of Mandya district. Allegedly, a minor clash occurred when the Ganpati procession passed by a mosque. According to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the mob was asked not to stay in the area for a long time. Earlier in the day, Union Minister Shobha Karandalaje accused the Congress government of the state of insulting Hindus and doing politics of appeasement.
