Police has taken a new initiative to protect women at Khanna in Ludhiana district of Punjab. DIG Nilambari Jagdale flagged off 8 PCR teams under the Mahi Mitra program. These teams have been given Activa for patrolling. These teams are police district Khanna area

DIG Jagdale said that there will be special monitoring of PCR teams outside schools and colleges. A policy of zero tolerance on crimes against women will be adopted. The main objective of Khanna police is to prevent crimes against women.
