According to the news from Rourkela, the police have taken businessman Shravan Aggarwal on two days remand. Earlier, he was arrested and sent to jail in a case of explosive theft.
In Kalahandi district of Odisha, police on Thursday seized about 6.5 tonnes of explosives and 115 detonators and arrested four people. A statement issued by the Kalahandi police said that a stone quarry and crusher were conducted by the Mining Department and the police on the basis of the FIR lodged by the mining officer on the basis of the FIR lodged by the mining officer.
Two vehicles loaded with explosives were seized and four people, including two drivers, were arrested. Kalahandi SP Nagraj Devarakonda said that it was learned that 6.5 tonnes of explosives were being taken in vehicles violating the rules. The SP said that the police is further investigating the case.
