Police officer taking action to seize drug smugglers

The Punjab Police has taken major action against drug smuggling. In Moga, the police have seized assets worth Rs 3 crore 50 lakh of 6 drug smugglers as part of the ‘yellow claw-war drug against drugs’ campaign.

According to DSP Ramandeep Singh, the action was taken on the instructions of DGP Punjab and SSP Moga. The property of two major smugglers was seized at the village Daulwala in the police station Kot Isa Khan. Arshdeep Singh has assets worth Rs 1 crore 19 lakh and Sukhjit Singh’s assets worth Rs 83 lakh.

The assets of four other smugglers of Kot Isa Khan were also seized. Sandeep Singh’s 32.06 lakh, Gurjant Singh’s 11.28 lakh, Gurcharan Singh’s 37.80 lakh and Gurvinder Singh’s assets worth Rs 66.35 lakh were seized.

Cases under the NDPS Act are registered against all the accused. DSP Ramandeep Singh has given strict warning to drug traffickers to stop smuggling drugs. He clarified that no one would be spared.
