‘Freedom will get freedom from colonial period structures’
Recently, inaugurating the new administrative buildings, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that for decades the country’s governance was running from the colonial structures, where there was a huge shortage of space, lights and air. He said that many major ministries had to work amidst such difficulties.
According to sources, the new PMO can be given a new name, which reflects ‘Seva Bhavna’. The Prime Minister reiterated after taking over for the third consecutive time, ‘PMO should be the PMO of the people, it is not Modi’s PMO.’

New enclave will be equipped with modern facilities
The new executive enclave will not only have the PMO, but also the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat. It will also have a modern conference room, which will have many facilities in old buildings.
The government says that this step is not only modernization of the administrative system, but also to create a place that shows the cultural and historical identity of India.
