Prior to the assembly elections in Bihar, the BJP has planned a comprehensive campaign for the next two and a half months, which will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A Bihar BJP leader said that Prime Minister Modi has so far addressed six rallies in the state and many more programs will be organized in the coming days. BJP leaders said that Modi will address a rally in each of the nine divisions of Bihar, which will include more than 200 assembly constituencies.

Discussions are going on at the last dates and places and it is expected to be announced within a week. The campaign is scheduled to end just before the formal announcement of state elections in September. BJP sources said that the purpose of this campaign is to enthusiasm among party workers before the election campaign.

At present, BJP workers are visiting door-to-door to identify new voters and help in voter registration. Apart from Prime Minister Modi’s programs, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also expected to visit the state three to four times during the campaign.
