PM Modi’s friendship with Trump is proving to be hollow … Jairam Ramesh’s central government

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Saturday accused the Modi government of “failure” of Indian diplomacy and said that the Prime Minister’s friendship with US President Donald Trump was proving hollow. Ramesh said that the gross failure of Indian diplomacy, especially in the last two months, is the most exposed by four facts. These facts open up the big claims of the Prime Minister and his drums and those who cheer. Since May 10, 2025, President Trump has claimed 25 times that he personally intervened to stop Operation Sindoor. He has threatened India and Pakistan that if they did not stop the war, they will not make a trade agreement with the US.
He further stated that on June 10, 2025, Michael Kurilla, the head of the powerful American Middle Command, describes Pakistan as an unprecedented partner of America in combating terrorism. On the meeting with Trump’s Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir at the White House, the Congress MP said that Munir is the same person who made a communally inflammatory remarks that prepared the background of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Ramesh said that on June 18, 2025, President Trump had an unprecedented lunch meeting with the Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir at the White House. Two months ago, Munir’s inflammatory, inflammatory and communally inflammatory comments set the background of the cruel terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025. He said that yesterday, on July 25, 2025, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and thanked him for Pakistan’s participation in combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability.
