Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Purnia in Bihar to inaugurate Purnia Airport on 15 September. He will also address a public meeting in Sheeshbari village, where people from Purnia, Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj are expected to gather. According to a senior Bihar BJP leader that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the long -awaited airport and give a big gift to the people of Seemanchal, who has been demanding the region for a long time. On 15 September, he will inaugurate the airport and will flag off the first commercial service with this facility.

The leader further said that under women empowerment measures, an amount of Rs 10,000 will be transferred to a woman’s bank account. He said, “The Prime Minister is coming with the vision of realizing the dream of a developed Bihar.” Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bihar State Jeevika Nidhi Savandha Cooperative Union Limited in Bihar through video conferencing. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and other leaders were present on the occasion. During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi also transferred Rs 105 crore to the institution’s bank account.

In a post on X, PM Modi highlighted the main objective of the Jeevika Nidhi Yojana and said that the government is making every effort to ensure that the women of Bihar do not lack opportunities. He wrote, “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the mothers, sisters and daughters of our Bihar do not lack any opportunity. In this regard, at around 12:30 pm today, I will inaugurate a big initiative for rural women entrepreneurs through video conferencing.” According to a release by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the primary objective of setting up a livelihood fund is to provide easy access to the members of the living community at cheap interest rates. All the cluster-level union registered under livelihood will become members of the cooperative society. The Bihar government and the central government will make financial contribution to the operation of the institution.
