On the condition of anonymity, people said that the main event of this week, starting from July 2, will participate at the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro on July 6-7. It will be combined with a bilateral trip to Brazil to strengthen the relationship between two important members of the BRICS group.

Other members of BRICs like Russia are emphasizing alternative payment systems with more trade disposal in domestic currencies to reduce dependence on US dollars.

The Indian side has decided to pursue the visit, despite that there are reports that both Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are not expected to attend the summit. The South China Morning Post said on Wednesday that inviting Brazil President Lewis Eneasio Lula Da Silva to invite Modi for state dinner after the BRICS summit may affect Beijing’s decision, as Xi can be seen as a supportive actor in this conference.
