India has not yet taken a final decision on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in late September, and people familiar with the case said on Wednesday that a close decision to organize the session in New York should be expected. The comments of Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelanski intensified about America’s possible visit to the Prime Minister’s name in New York to include the name of the Prime Minister in the list of heads of state and the heads of the heads of the United Nations General Assembly and the possible meeting with Modi during the session in New York.

The provisional list of speakers for high -level debate in the upcoming session of the General Assembly stated that the heads of India may address the session on the morning of 26 September. The debate will begin on 23 September and end on 29 September. The US State will speak on 23 September. However, the above quoted sources said that the Indian side is not even close to the final decision at the level of participation in the United Nations General Assembly. One person said that it has not been decided yet whether the Prime Minister will go to the United Nations General Assembly or not. He further said that in the present time such tour seems very impossible.

The provisional list of speakers by the United Nations is prepared long before the session in August, in which the heads of state and government are given the first place from the foreign ministers or other delegates of a country. Sources said that it is not uncommon to get out of the program of a head of state or government after being named in the provisional list. After calling Modi, Ukrainian President Zelansky said on social media that the two leaders are planning to meet during the United Nations General Assembly in September. This was the only reason behind the Prime Minister’s speculation of a possible visit to America, which could have cleared the way for a possible meeting with Trump.

However, there are significant differences between the two sides over the trade agreement, especially after Trump imposing 25% mutual fee on Indian goods and an additional fine of 25% on India for Russian oil purchase.
