PM Modi will not attend G7 summit! Congress’s stance- another diplomacy failure

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unlikely to attend the G-7 summit to be held in Canada. People aware of the case gave this information on Monday. Now the Congress has taunted about this. The Congress claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not attending the G7 Summit is another diplomatic failure between India and Pakistan after allowing America to ‘mediate’.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote on ‘X’ that the G7 Summit is being held in Kananaskis, Alberta province, Canada since 15 June 2025. The conference will include the Prime Ministers of the US and France, Prime Ministers of Britain, Japan, Italy and Canada and Chancellor of Germany. He said that this time the Presidents of Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Australia have also been invited.
Ramesh said that before 2014, G7 used to be actually G8, including Russia. At that time, Dr. Manmohan Singh was invited to the G8 summit and there was seriously listened to him. In one such conference held in Germany in June 2007, the famous Singh-Markel Formula was presented, which was considered to be the direction of international talks on climate change. Even after 2014, the tradition of inviting Indian Prime Ministers to these conferences continued. But this time, for the first time in six years, the Vishwaguru will not attend this Canada Summit.

He said that no matter what the ‘spin’ is given on this, the truth is that this is another major diplomatic lapse-in the same way as the Government of India overturned our decades-old foreign policy by giving America a chance to mediate between India and Pakistan, and exempted the US officials to openly appeal to continue negotiating on a ‘neutral site’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unlikely to attend the upcoming G7 Summit to be held in Alberta province of Canada. The Canada is hosting the summit from 15 to 17 June, which is expected to discuss the challenges facing the world, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the position of West Asia.
