PM Modi talked to Mallikarjun Kharge, wished to get well soon after surgery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and inquired about his health. He also wished him a quick recovery. In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Talked to Kharge ji. Took information about his health and wished him to be healthy. I wish his constant health and longevity.” The condition of Kharge, who was recently put on a pacemaker, has been stated to be stable and his official work is expected to resume from October 3, his son and Karnataka IT minister Priyank Kharge said.

In a post shared on X, Priyank Kharge said, “The pacemaker transplant process for Mr. Kharge was successfully completed today. It was a small and minor process and his condition is stable after the process. His condition is expected to re -start his work from October 3 and join all his scheduled programs. A day earlier, Mallikarjun Kharge, president of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru for treatment. Meanwhile, Kharge will visit Kohima on 7 October and address a public meeting at Naga Solidarity Park. Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee President and Lok Sabha MP S Supangmerran Jamir made this announcement during a press conference at Congress Bhavan in Kohima.

According to Jamir, the Congress expects at least 10,000 people to gather in this rally. The program based on the theme, “Safe democracy, safe secularism and safe Nagaland”, will also highlight major issues such as youth employment, entrepreneurship, good governance and road connectivity. The statement said that after the rally, there will be separate meetings between Kharge and Congress Political Affairs Committee, Propel Committee and Senior members of District Congress Committees (DCC) presidents.

The Congress MP stressed that this rally is not only a party ceremony, but also a political platform to deal with the challenges faced by Nagaland and Northeast. He appealed to the citizens, especially minorities to join the rally and give voice to their concerns, which he said that the regional leaders would carry forward.
