PM Modi China Visit | India-China relations will be carried forward with mutual trust and respect, PM Modi talks with Xi Jinping

With the hope of improving relations between New Delhi and Beijing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who went on a two -day visit to China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, met Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday. During his bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he had a very useful discussion in Kazan last year which gave a positive direction to India-China relations. He further stated that after the return of the soldiers on the border, there is an atmosphere of peace and stability.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there has been an agreement between special representatives of India and China regarding border management. He said that Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been resumed and direct flights between the two countries are also being restored. Modi said that the interests of 2.8 billion people of the two countries are associated with their cooperation and it will contribute to the welfare of the entire humanity. He emphasized India’s commitment to pursue relations on the basis of mutual trust, respect and sensitivity.

During his bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him for the successful SCO headed of China, thanked him for the invitation to come to China and his meeting, and described “trust, respect and sensation” for India-China relations.

There has been a sudden decline in relations between India and the United States due to trade and duty related US policies. In such a situation, this meeting is important between the leaders of India and China. Modi and Xi will meet the two -day Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit starting on Sunday.

Official sources have indicated that they can also meet again during the day, given the prevalence of issues for discussion. The previous meeting of the two leaders took place during the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia in October. Modi is also likely to meet Russia President Vladimir Putin before leaving for India on Monday. The SCO summit will begin on Sunday with an official banquet organized by Xi Jinping.

20 leaders from various countries are participating in the ‘SCO Plus’ summit organized by China. China is the president of the 10 -member group of Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and China this year. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also attending the summit. Among the leaders who reached here, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nepal Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and Maldives President Mohammad Mujju are included. The summit of the leaders will be held on Monday.

Chinese Assistant External Affairs Minister Liu bin had earlier said that the SCO’s largest summit will be one of the most important events of state and domestic diplomacy in China this year. He had said that in his main speech at the summit, Xi Chinfing would discuss “China’s new approach and proposals in detail for the SCO to pursue” Shanghai Bhavna “and meet the expectations of the people.

Most of the leaders are likely to stop to watch China’s largest military parade to be held on September 3 in Beijing after a two -day summit. The parade will be held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese mass resistance war against the anti -world fascist war and the Japanese invasion.
