Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his address to the developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan. He said that now the market is changing, customers’ priorities are also changing. Therefore, it is our humble effort to change the agricultural system with farmers and state governments, discuss with farmers how to become more modern agriculture of India. He said that under this campaign, the team of our scientists is carrying forward the campaign of ‘Lab to Land’.

Modi said that in the last decades our agricultural scientists have done good research in many areas, have given better results. On the other hand, the progressive farmers of our country have also brought major changes in the agriculture sector with their experiments, increased production and have done successful experiments. He said that information about the successful research of scientists and successful experiments of progressive farmers is very important to reach all our farmers. In this direction, all of you are trying from the beginning, but now it needs to be done with new enthusiasm. ‘Developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ will give you a lot of opportunities for this.
The Prime Minister said that India’s agriculture also needs to be developed for developed India. There are many subjects that have been continuously focused by the Central Government. Such as farmers get the right price for their produce, how to grow the agricultural economy, how to grown crops according to the needs of the country, how to fulfill the needs of the world along with its needs, how India should become food stores, how to deal with the challenges of climate change, how to save more crops in less water, how to save the soil, how to make the soil from harmful chemicals, how to make cultivation and technology. Our government has done a lot of work on all such subjects in the last 10-11 years. Now under this campaign, our farmers have to be made more and more aware.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday launched the 15 -day “developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” (campaign for construction of agriculture for India) at a function near Puri in Odisha, which aims to improve the relationship between farmers and agricultural research. While setting a target of producing 168.88 million tonnes (MT) food grains for Kharif 2025, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced a plan to launch a campaign to cover up about 2 crore farmers earlier this month and to help achieve the target.

Chauhan said on Wednesday that 168.07 MT of food grains were produced in the country in the Kharif season of 2024. Experts stated that the targets could be easily achieved, which does not require a 15-day program to be started, as food production increased by 12.3 MT in only one session. India’s kharif 2023 production was 155.77 MT. A senior agricultural scientist said, “The ambition should be more so that all stakeholders are motivated to achieve the target.”
